All of us being a bundle of perfections & imperfections, we may desire more but our roles are predestined. Love, Happiness & Contentment come together. To do our work full heartedly is an achievement in its own way.
A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him when the class began. He picked up a large empty jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks. He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was full. He then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar and shook it lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the spaces between the rocks. Then he asked the students again, if the jar was full, and they agreed. The professor now poured sand into the jar, of course the sand filled up everything else. Now said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this is your life”. The rocks are the important things, family, health & the person you love. Things that, if everything else was lost and only they remain your life is full still. The pebbles are other things that matter, like your job, house & your worldly possessions. The sand is everything else, “THE SMALL STUFF”.
If we put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the things that are important to us. The same goes for our life. Let us pay attention to the things that are critical to our happiness. But then a student took the jar and proceeded to pour water in it. Of course the water filled the remaining spaces with in the jar, making it more full.
Water in life is comparable to love. No matter how full our life is, there is always room for love.
I will not end here but suggest to see what happens on adding salt to the jar. It is going to dissolve in water and be there without being visible.
In our life salt is comparable to ego which should be within us without being visible.
