The OPTION 2 Plus and 4 Plus are
compact, semi-automated instruments which are adapted
for use in all laboratories for all types of clotting
tests.
The OPTION Plus range uses the patented principle
of optical detection with magnetic stirring, a high-performance
technique that detects the formation of the first
fibrin filaments. This detection system makes it possible
to detect even the smallest clots as found in hypofibrinogenemia
or highly heparinized plasma.
The semi-automated OPTION Plus analyzers are small,
compact, easy-to-use, and have an integrated calculator.
Incubation times for plasma can be programmed, and
measurement is automatically triggered by adding the
reagent. Results are automatically expressed as seconds,
percentage, ratio, INR, g/l or mg/l. Calibration curves
for PT, Fibrinogen and Factor Assays are stored in
memory.
OPTION Plus instruments require no maintenance, as
they are equipped with a complete self-testing diagnosis
program. The RS232 interface enables data to be transferred
to a printer or workstation.
